Enhance your career in luxury fashion with our German State Approved Further Education Certificate in Fashion Design & Custom Made Tailoring.  This 6-month online program is designed to give you the essential skills in fashion manufacturing, custom pattern-making, and fashion design fundamentals. Taught by industry experts like Iris Peitzmeier, Ph.D., a renowned fashion designer and educator, this program offers a blended learning approach combining online lessons with live consultancy and personalized feedback. Dr. Iris Peitzmeier was Director of several Fashion Universities like Amsterdam Fashion Academy, Head of Fashion Department of Limkokwing University Malaysia, and now CEO of UniFash German Elite Fashion Academy

 

By the end of this certification course, students will be proficient in creating high-quality garments and custom patterns for women’s wear and will be prepared to showcase their work at international fashion events like Paris Fashion Week, Milan, and Rome.

Phase 1 — Hybrid International Learning (6 Months)

Students begin with a flexible hybrid learning structure combining:

  • Live online masterclasses

  • Creative mentoring sessions

  • Digital fashion projects and portfolio development

  • International industry exposure and research

  • Independent studio practice with guided assessments

  • This phase allows participants from different countries to access international fashion education while building strong conceptual and technical foundations

  • How you will provide hybrid offline sessions, since our course is 100 percent a synchron.

 

Month 1-3

Learn the fundamentals of fashion design, tailoring, and pattern making.

 

Month 3-6

Develop advanced skills in garment creation, custom pattern design, fashion drawing and preparing your final project – a tailor-made collection of garments.

 

Students who are available to attend physically are also welcome to join selected studio classes and practical sessions at Milan Fashion Academia. Our academic and creative team will personally accompany and guide students throughout these in-campus experiences to ensure a seamless integration between online and physical learning environments.

 

Phase 2 — Full Physical Residency Experience (6 Months)

The second phase transitions into a fully physical studio-based residency conducted exclusively at Milan Fashion Academia, where students immerse themselves in an intensive creative environment inspired by international fashion ateliers and contemporary luxury fashion systems.

During this residency, participants engage in:

  • Intensive atelier and studio practice

  • Advanced garment construction and collection development

  • Editorial styling and creative direction

  • Professional fashion presentations and runway preparation

  • Collaborative studio projects and industry critique sessions

  • Portfolio refinement and international-standard creative development

  • Students experience daily hands-on learning within a professional campus atmosphere designed to simulate the rhythm and expectations of the global fashion industry. Guided by mentors, creative professionals, and industry-focused educators, participants refine their technical precision, creative identity, and professional presentation skills through immersive physical studio engagement.

  • This phase is designed to strengthen discipline, craftsmanship, collaboration, and industry readiness while preparing students for international creative opportunities and professional fashion pathways.

Throughout the residency, participants experience a cross-border educational journey connecting international creative perspectives, technical discipline, and industry-focused fashion development.

Graduates receive dual professional certifications validating expertise across both creative and technical sectors of the global fashion industry.

 

 

Note :

You will have 1 full year of access to the course materials, with the flexibility to pay the fees in 12 installments. However, you are required to finish your assignments within the 6-month timeframe to ensure timely completion of the course and to fully benefit from the program.
